I was just looking for some opinions on Nature's Select Duck and Oatmeal Indoor food? I'm trying to keep my cats on a raw diet and wanted to know whether this is s good brand to keep them on or not?

I can't find anything about Nature's Select Duck and Oatmeal.  But if you are feeding raw, I'm confused.  Why would you feed something with oatmeal in it if you are feeding raw.?  Are you confusing raw with canned?

Please provide more info on "Nature's Select"

I asked about it at the pet store and that's what they suggested because my cat had dry skin and it has no other grain in it. I was feeding them Blue Buffalo, but it was getting expensive for me

Maybe a fur/skin supplement like fish oil would help with the dry skin?

A raw diet usually means healthy fur and skin. What kind of raw are you feeding? Homemade, prey model, commerical raw pet food?

Blue Buffalo is not a raw diet.  Were you feeding this dry or canned food?  I still cannot find any brand called Nature's Select to say whether or not it appears to be good.  I wonder if this is something that is a local brand to your area?

Also, I agree with LTS3 that fish oil (salmon, krill, anchovy, etc.) would be a good thing to add for dry, itchy skin.  Some cats accept it readily, some you need to add it to their diets very slowly or they reject it.

Dr. Maggies supplement has little flavour and is very easy to hide in canned food. It worked very well for my Morgenne a few years ago. Feeding a good quality food which has a skin and coat component is a good course of action, bearing in mind that its going to take a good six weeks before you really see a difference.
