My 4 year old companion cat has feline auto immune disease and I am hoping to find others who are dealing with this.

She is under a vets care and is on prednisone and has been under vets care for over 8 weeks now.

She is indoor kitty and is spay and all of her shots are up to date.

What type of auto-immune disease is it?  This stuff can take many different forms, stomatitis, IBD and skin disorders are three of the most common.

Is the vet sure that she also has calicivirus.  Pemphigus in it's most extreme form includes ulcers in the mouth.  Normally the treatment for pemphigus starts with a high dose of a steroid to get it under control  If the steroid can't get it under control then they use a chemo drug.  They then taper down to the lowest dose to control it.  The issue if she also has calicivirus then you don't want to use a steroid, particularly a high dose.
