It's been hot the past couple days 90degree hot and I noticed a slight smell in my car.
This morning hubby opened the car door and gagged. It was overwhelmingly nasty rotten sweet smell. So I went to find the smell. I looked under the front passenger seat and there's it's a cucumber. As I grab the cucumber to throw it away , it disintegrated in my hand it was liquid mush. Totally rotten. Once it disintegrated in my hand the smell was a hundredfold worse. I cleaned it with orange cleaner then sprayed frebreeze. I hope the smell goes away.
Moral of the story always give a quick check under your seats after grocery shopping

Air it out good!

Treat it like you would pee/poo/vomit.  Use a good enzyme cleaner and a wet/dry vac that will suck up all of the liquid.

After you have cleaned it as good as you can use a fan to dry it out good.  We have a small fan as we have a convertible  that every once in a while gets wet.

Good luck!

I broke a bottle of red wine in my Cruiser a few years ago. Nasty stuff it was as it was in the summer time and we were having high heat and humidity. I cleaned the mats out and the floor of the back seat as best I could and then we left it air out. But I can tell you that I was very careful to drive the speed limit for a few weeks and not do anything stupid while driving. Any cop who pulled me over would have arrested me right then and there for DUI as bad as that poor car smelled for a while. But it did dissipate and you'd never know anything ever happened.

Good luck with your cleaning!

Oh yuck!!

A few weeks ago my friend was cleaning out her van and found what she thought was a dehydrated chicken nugget under her seat.  She thought that was really bad since her kids eat burgers; not nuggets.  That's when she looked closer and found it was actually a FROG.  Her husband had been telling her the van stunk but they never figured out why...till then!  Poor froggie!

Find a cedar tree and put a small live branch under the seat for a while. Look for a tree that is being trimmed or has just recently fallen down.
