Hello, I recently rescued 2 kittens off the street. Their mother either died or ditched them, but I doubt it's the second option.

Anyway to get to the point, one of them got very ill, I had to rush it to the vet. She would lay there, not moving, laying on it's belly. The vet gave it 2 sort of vaccination and told me if the kitty doesn't feel well in a couple days, it needs to come back and take more vaccination, a new dose. 5 days later, the kitty got really ill, same symptoms, not moving, not doing anything. But I noticed some white liquid next to it and I figured it threw up. I am currently feeding the kittens nothing but kitty milk. They love it. The kitten that's been getting ill constantly drinks much less than the other one. The vet told me to rub down their belly to help them pee, and I've been doing that and I can tell they are learning slowly how to pee on their own. They are around 25 days old. The second time that the cat got ill, I rushed it to the vet again, he gave it 2 vaccinations, and prescribed a medicine (augmentin) three times a day for a week. I started this morning, trying to give it to her, and she spit it allll out ! it walked away from me and slowly I could it see it all coming into its mouth and falling off. I had never seen it pooping, it was only peeing, until 1 hour ago, I noticed something pretty weird; it tried to poo but it was black at the start and then it was light brown. Like half the poo was back and the other half was brown. I don't know what to do, how to give it the medicine or if I should be concerned about her poo. I honestly don't want to see it suffering for a third time, it breaks my heart and gets me really frustrated. I adore cats and I'm willing to do anything for it to help it feel better. I should mention that it plays around around with the other kitten. Hope it will be okay :(

Also, the second time it got ill, it's tongue was sticking out. I know that's a terrifying sign, and I was so worried it will pass away.

by vaccine I suppose you mean injections.  did the vet tell what sort? Anyway, my guess he was giving him fluids.

what sort of kitten milk do you give them?  What is commercially sold by the label of  Kitten milk  isnt really  for food for small orphaned kittens, its more as treat for adult.

If you can get them goat milk - fresh or bottled, (dairy compartment in Walmart and the alike uses to have them) or some  kmr - kitten replacement milk, where the brand KMR is the most wellknown - you can get it in a big pet shop -

is better.

for the sickly one you should give some water in between the feedings - you can use a dropper, in the corner of the mouth, tummy downwards, head up.   It will  make sure he isnt dehydrated, and also, it lessen the risk of getting constipated.

Im a little worried they dont seem to poo - this "horrible" poo was really a very postitive thing...  As he DID pooed.

The consistenc of kitten poo is usually described as toothpaste.  It it is harder than it, he has constipation.

What the black is I dunno, possibly there are some blood.   but the rest of the poo wahs more common brown, so it cant be a big bleeding - puh!

So, make sure they get a good kmr or goat milk.  Make sure they get more fluids -  stimulate them eagerly to be sure they do their poo at least every second day...

some probiotic is also useful.  especielly now when he gets antibiotica.

BeneBac is a very good, efficient brand.  but there are others.  Even some plain, unsweetened yoghurt may be used, if you dont have anything else.

Im no vet, I dont know much about the medical problems he seems to have.  So I cant guess the outcome.

but I hope my overall advices will help you with his overall well being.

a nice site for orphans is  www.kitten-rescue.com.

Tx for caring, and helping these two guys!

Good luck!  @Myra Fayed
