What is the best OTC remedy? I've obviously got a new mom with 4 seemingly healthy kittens; all if them eat, sleep, and play. The 2 tuxs' are more playful :) but I have a leopard dotted one where his itty bitty right eye looks a little infected: slightly shut after naps and a little discharge inside. Over the past 2 days I've wiped it out/off with a soft cloth & q-tip which helps to clear it up. None of the kittens go hungry or wheeze when breathing and the Mom loves & cares for them equally.

See him feeding :) taken just yesterday (their 2wk birthday).

Eye infections are very common in young kittens, you should clean his eyes regulary as you're doing if he is not showing any sing of improvement, take him to the vet, he would give you some eye drops and he'll recover in around two days.

Eye infections can be quite serious in small young kittens, I would recommend a visit to the vet.  I have seen kittens who have lost their eyes due to a nasty infection, there really isn't anything over the counter that will help an eye infection.

All is fine now...her other eye is open and no discharge. I'm really amazed at how well all 4 are doing as far as feeding equally and playing together. No one is singled out and Mom cares for them all equalit (what I know from observing).

Thanks for the advise
