I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any chewables/treats or pills that can be given to a cat to prevent parasites (fleas/ticks or others)? I know there are some for dogs but I wasn't sure about for cats.
I am asking because there's a feral cat who hangs out on my porch just outside the door and I'm worried she might have parasites and could transfer something to my cats when I go in and out (my cats stay inside). I can't get close enough to her to do any type of topical treatment but she will take treats if I toss them to her.

The only thing I have heard of is the topical treatment, Revolution.  I hadn't heard of a treat type preventative for kitties.

Heartguard chewable is for the prevention of heartworms in cats.

Comfortis is a chewable flea preventative.

Captsar is a fleat treatment in pill form. I don't think it's a chewable treat, though.

Program is a flea treatment available in flavored tablet and liquid suspension. The tablets can be crushed and mixed into canned food. The liquid suspension can be mixed with canned food , tuna juice, etc.

If the cat likes pill pockets, that can effectively turn a pill into a treat (as long as they don't bite into it and taste the pill).
