Hey guys ! Sorry I havent been updating, no babies yet !!! We have been calling the vetS (more than one because I like to be sure) the last few days & they keep insisting there is nothing to worry about unless she starts bleeding or has dark brown discharge. Today is Thursday Sept 11. Saturday was when she started her crazy panting for almost the whole day, but now we think maybe it was just because it was SOOOO hot that day. Then we had the littttttle bit of sticky stuff coming out. Next few days still smalllllll amounts of sticky stuff... then I believe Monday(I have to check my notes) is when she started leaking a little light pink fluid that morning. Still no babies and I have been going crazy worrying. She is a first time mother so that must be why this process is taking so long. Well about a half hour ago or so I come out of the bathroom and there is a brown fluid all over the place... on my counter, on the floor, all over. Rosie tried licking it up but I quickly cleaned it. There was also a small little pink chunk of who knows what ...... We called the vet. She says everything is fine and we should see real contractions by tonight !!!! She also gave a 24 hour number just in case, but if nothing happens by the morning then we should definitely call back but still no need to worry..... but that was her water breaking!! All I can think right now is HOLY SH*T!! LOL ! The babies are coming ! The babies are coming !! Everyyyyyyyy night Rosie has been sleeping in bed with us, wont let me leave her ever or she cries.. totally destroyed my front door. But it will all be worth it when these little kitties are born and I know that Mama is healthy. She is currently laying on her back leaking all over my bed, but she seems very content and not stressed out at all.. lucky her =p!

Yay!!
Yes it sounds like her water broke. Will she let you lay your hand on her stomach? If so do it and you might be able to feel the contractions as they come! :D I am so happy for you and your momma to be! Post pictures once they have arrived!

So far only one baby, dead.
...... I knew he/she was not going to survive as soon as Rosie started pushing......... She was laying next to me, and starts pushing. I was amazed! Then something starts sticking out of her ..... looks like a little soft stick. I knew it was a tail. Tried not to believe it, but I was right. The baby took over an hour to come out. No sak but still attached to the placenta! Momma ate the placenta and cleaned the baby who was very cold. Sorry for some of these details... but I think who ever is reading and expecting should be prepared that these things can happen. We have been in contact with several vets this whole time and they believe Rosie will be fine.

Although the end result so far was not a good one.... the birth process itself was magical honestly. She was on me the whole entire time. Kissing my face in between some hard pushing. I felt very connected to her, I figured I would have to help but I didnt think she would rely on me to hold her and lean on me, climb on me.

I am so sorry. The same happened with my queen but it took 20 minuets instead of an hour. I hope everything else has gone okay! Keep us updated and take pictures!

I am so sorry. I know it is hard to loose a kit. Maybe you could foster some? It might make you feel better about the whole thing.

I'm so sorry to hear how everything went. Kittens die at birth, it happens and you shouldn't feel bad about it, but it's not a fun thing to see :( Specially because I know how much you looked forward to having kittens, but end up with none.. I hope the mom cat is alright, and that the vet deemed her healthy. I hope you'll update us on it. Don't feel too bad or sad over it, as long as the mom is healthy, that's the most important!
