Thanks to my all night work conference call, I've been able to finish putting all the sections of the cookbook together. I will e-mail it to Heidi so that she can add the cover page art and put it in PDF format, then onto Maryann for publishing online.

I want to thank everyone who has put so much time in contributing recipes, editing recipes, doing artwork, planning logistics, and anything else that you have done.

It's 147 pages in total and I start salivating whenever I go thru it.

There are a number of threads about this cookbook in the Lounge and in Cats SOS forums. One thread with the submitted recipes (Favorite Family Recipes), another thread to vote on the name for the cookbook, and another thread with the logistics behind putting it together (Creating the TCS Cookbook).

Basically the folks in here contributed recipes that were compiled into a single document and will be posted online for sale. Donations will be provided to the single animal shelter in Israel, which is struggling financially and at risk of closing. Since it is their only shelter, we felt that their needs were the greatest.

I'm sure that you will see more information in the upcoming weeks on how to obtain a copy. They will be downloadable for about $5, which is incredibly inexpensive for the content.

Hedi, we are shooting for a December 1 (at the latest) release. Just in time for Christmas!

For those who have participated in the planning (and even those who didn't
) I have a question in the SOS thread that is somewhat time limited and would like people's input. Thanks!! (Regarding the last piece of the puzzle that will be the cookbook...)

BTW, the cookbook looks GREAT! I'm already planning on giving a few as Christmas gifts.

My idea to market it, is to create a Meow Page over at Meowhoo.com with the link to download there and a Paypal button - we would announce the existence of the cookbook and the purpose in our newsletters and hopefully let cat lovers do the rest of the work. I will be contacting some merchants I have developed a business relationship with to see if they would be willing to link it from their websites as well. If anyone else wants to take the link (once it is created) and put it on their website, if they get heavy traffic, please feel free to do so. As Heidi said, all monies will go to The Cat Welfare Society of Israel

Oh, I can't wait! I was going to do a family cookbook, but I think I'll do this for this year. I think it'll be a favorite!

How exciting! I was wondering how the book was coming along. . .
I love the cover! (Posted on S.O.S). It's so cute.

Because this is a fundraiser for an animal shelter, I have moved it to SOS where it really belongs.

Sorry, Hissy.
I just think that to get the word out there. . . . with Christmas coming and all. . . . that the lounge gets more traffic. . . .
I understand your wanting to keep the related threads all in one place though.

Nothing to be sorry for. I just don't want to be known as the one who breaks the rules.
That wouldn't sit well with me. I hope this cookbook does fly off the cyber-shelf. It is up to all of us to get the word out however we can.
