I've read a few articles that say the rear view of a male kitten looks a a colon (two dots), and female looks like an exclamation point (dot and line/slit), but when I look at photos it looks like the opposite of that to me. So, I would love some opinions. And fyi, these are kittens born to a cat I'm fostering for the Humane Society, I would never breed my own dog or cat. These kittens were born on 8/31/14. Male/male/female/female/female or female/female/male/male/male? TIA!

Thanks for the welcome! My view has 4 pics in the top row and only one on the bottom, but I get what you're saying. That was my first thought, but then I thought the last 3 look more like exclamation points. Thank you!

Oh they are gorgeous :heart3:

Sorry I'm on my ipad and I didn't consider my view of the pics would look different. :lol3:
Glad you understood what I meant though ;)

The best way to sex them rather than thinking too much about the exclamation points is look at the distance between the holes. :D
See that in the first two pics the holes are closer together than in the other pics.

Closer together = female
Further apart = male

Of course this only helps if you have a litter containing both sexes. :lol3: Otherwise they would all look the same.
