These are our newest fosters. The black/white/brown one I know is a tortoiseshell. And the black/white bi color. But not sure of the other two. Top left is Siamese? Top right was white when we got him at one week but gray markings appeared over both eyes and down his back. Is he Siamese?

OMG can we say this is a total overload of cuteness??!! Look at the tortie!! Ooo she drives me nuts!

Yes, the top 2 are siamese mix.

The lighter ones start off white because of their body temperature.

In the womb the enzyme resxponsible for their color change remains neutral until after birth, then the tail, legs, ears which are cooler than the rest of their body turns darker, because temps below 98 degrees allow that enzyme to become activated.

Cool huh?!

Thank you! That's what I thought but wanted to be sure. Are Siamese the only cats who're born white and turn later? That is very cool! So what specific Siamese are they? The only Siamese I have fostered before was a lynx point.

Okay you're bringing me back to see these cutie kids again! Eeeooooo! Squeezable.

Too young to tell just yet. Likely the one on the left will be some chocolate version, medium haired. Super cute!

The one on right is too soon, likely one of the lighter version but not flamepoint though, or body would look cream and face would have a dirty/peach look to it.

Looking at the one on the left again, you juuust might be getting a snowshoe :) My all time fave!

Am I seeing things or does he have white paws and some white popping out on his face and chin?

He has a white chin and some white paws, I'm not sure how many. If he wasn't asleep I'd go look lol. His name is Levi. Gypsy is the tortie and Ranger is the bi color. Charlie is our runt siamese. I haven't been able to find a pic of another siamese that has his coloring. These are another litter of rescue cats. Charlie looks like the one on the bottom right but doesn't have the darker marks yet.

So you just might have 2 snowshoes. Plus the ones pics you have at the bottom, that one is also a snowshoe.

Lucky you, it truly is my fave.

Just give Charlie a minute, his colors will blossom soon :)

Thank you very much cat woman. I love fostering bottle babies, it is truly a laborious of love. Lots of work, but I love learning their personalities and seeing them go to their forever homes. I am learning new things about cats all the time also!

I love the tabby in the top picture. Is she the mother? Look at the face! I get the same look from my little tortoiseshell diva Minxie Mia

Thanks ya'll. The pic of the mom and babies I borrowed from another rescue to show what our Charlie is colored like. My babies were dumped at our shelter, while it was closed...with no mom, in South Ga heat. One was covered in ants. They were probably right at a week old. Sadly there were 5, but Thomas died in my arms on our first full day with them. It is a great job, with awesome benefits but some major drawbacks as well. The remaining four are doing well, except for some unexplained bald patches. They are on albon for diarrhea but the bald spots the vet said they were too young to tell for sure what it is.
