So when she first moved in she scoped the place out thoroughly to fall asleep and later in the night empty the contents of her bladder on the tile beside my bed which traveled about two and a half feet under it. It was too late by the time I discovered it, it had already dried and cleaning vinegar and lemon, orange, and melaluca essential oil did nothing to it. What can I use to remove the dried pee and then the stain?

Hey Mooncat89,

My cat recently peed on the sofa and we have used the following:

#first disinfectant to kill the germs, wait til completely dry (make sure no ammonia in the ingredients)

# Urine Off and warm water, wait til dry

# vodka, totally experimental, but someone on this site swore by it, believes it breaks down the enzymes the cat can smell that makes it want to return to the site and do it again)

I have only just put the sofa back in the living area (the incident only happened a week ago) and was told by the vet that as long as all sent has been removed, cat should not return to the site.

Fingers crossed all that treatment has worked, but Im not sure just yet.

Let me know how you go :)

Hey so I tried to use it and get the urine up but it seems like my cat had super pee that night or something, that or I didn't let it sit for long enough before I cleaned it up because it's still there just as it was before. I didn't let it dry though, I just don't understand how to clean it when it's dry, should I spray it on again after it dries and then clean it up?

Just spray some water on the dried pee and it will turn liquid again very quickly. Then clean it up the way you usually do.

Clear Imitation Vanilla works wonders for killing the odor...Just an FYI.
