I am so confused. I purchased Jarrow B-Right because of the low odor. For whatever reason I looked at the 100 on the front of the bottle and assumed ( brilliant me) That these were 100 mg. pills. I was only making 2 lbs. so, I used half the powder in the pill. Now, I am trying to put together a supplement recipe for 2 lbs chubs ( Primal grinds) and I took a closer look at the bottle and realized that in total these pills are about 500 mgs I actually took it to the pharmacist and he said it was indeed hundreds of mgs How do those of you using this brand figure it out? I had read this brand was the best but seriously that is a lot of vitamin Help!

Don't feel bad. B-Complex labels are confusing. B-Complex products are a combination of many B vitamins. The label on the back of the bottle lists them. B vitamins are needed in different quantities and so most B-Complex products don't contain the same amounts of all of them so it doesn't make sense to show an amount on the front label. Some actually will show an amount on the front label and sometimes all of the B vitamins are actually present in that amount  but sometimes the amount on the front label is the amount of most, but not all, of the B vitamins the product contains.

What all that means is that when it comes to B-Complex products you must   look at the back label to see what you are getting.

I think you are using Dr. Pierson's (catinfo.org) recipe aren't you? If so, 1/2 capsule of the Jarrow B-Right can used used in place of the 50 mg B-Complex she calls for.
