I have a 5 month old (fully vaccinated kitten- her name is Bambi) who has never been outdoors. Yet all of a sudden she has these sores popping up and i am seriously worried. I just spotted this long sore on the back of her heel yesterday and today the one on her chin popped up. My husband was just laid off so I wanted to get advice from here first, before i make a vet appointment. If you have any ideas of what it could be or any homeopathic treatments, please tell me. Thank you.

Hmmm........these are interesting.

Are you absolutely certain she is not able to come into contact with any cleaners or anything toxic at all?

The chin looks like blisters. Blisters come from calicivirus, but she would have cold symptoms, or early chin acne, usually caused by plastic food/water dishes.

Perhaps the 2 are not related but coincidence.

The one on her leg sure does look like an injury or a burn to me.

After looking at the pics again, the lip one does not look like acne. That usually pops up lower on the chin.

The leg def seems like an injury or a burn as I said, it's odd though to be so out of nowhere.

I would def. recommend a vet visit.

Odd is an understatement! I noticed her stretching and saw the leg injury and immediately started crying(im an emotional person) and then today the chin sore threw me over the edge. She has been letting me apply colloidal silver ... I have no idea what she could have ever come in contact with since we have a 1 yr old and a 3 yr old niece and nephew that are with us every other weekend.. so ANYTHING even remotely toxic is hidden.im wondering if her leg injury is maybe chasing her sister kitty around the house? They are extremely active.

I looked up that calicivirus and I saw the tongue marks so my husband shined a flashlight into her mouth while I inspected it and I see NOTHING. so thank God for that. Im sure she will see a vet very soon. Just sad that I cannot pinpoint what is wrong :'( thank you so much for answering.

Right, and although calici blisters look similar, you will not normally see just one cluster on her lip, but more inside her mouth and or her tongue.

But calicivirus also will display cold symptoms before the blisters pop up.

Her leg does appear to be an unjury. Maybe they were getting rowdy! :)

Scraping it somehow, as it def. has either a burn mark or a scrape type, like when kids skin their knee.

Just for an update...poor Bambi's sores grew all the way up her hind legs and her mouth grew puffy. After a vet visit, antibiotics and steriods...we have realized it is a food allergy. I switched her to Natural balance green pea and duck kibble and no more sores. Then tried Iams wet food and a sore popped up within an hour. So I am going back to petco to grt more variety of wet food from natural balance to see what she likes best. Thankfully my other kitty has no issues and is a chubbster and will eat annnnything.
