I So I want to start off saying please no negativity. We rescued a pregnant cat in april she was 6 months old. We found her on the side of road. She was skin and bones. We do believe she was wild. We took her to the vet and found out she was pregnant with only one baby. She gave birth in May. She had no signs of labor what so ever and didn't even make noise will giving birth. She came into my room crawled on my bed rolled on her back and pushed it out. It was crazy. We planned on getting her fixed after she was done feeding. We took her in a week after and found she was pregnant again. The vet couldn't pin point an exact due date and wanted to do more testing but we couldn't afford it. He said any where between August 22 and September 1. She's naturally really small but is deffinintly bigger then she was her last pregnancy. She has had some spotting very little and it was Lind of mucous like. She is lactating out of 3 nipples but not the rest. I've been taking her temp and the last three days she's been under 100. I'm starting to worry a little not so Much to call the vet but need some advice does it sound like labor? And if anyone has had the same thing in there cat's pregnancy. She has had her vagina pulsating. Which I thought was weird and she looks like her stomach I'd having minor contractions every once in awhile. Any advice would be helpful. She's my first cat and I love her. Thanks.

Not sure why you would be criticized, you already found out the hard way that cats will and do get pregnant again while nursing still.

Just get her butt spayed asap and do not let her outside until you do, or accept the fact that she needs to be aborted.

That is too many pregnancies back to back for such a small, young kitty.

Yes, it does sound like she is in early labor.

Yeah I understand completely. I tried to keep her inside last time but she's a really big out doors cat and actually tore up my door and would meow like she was screaming tell someone would let her out. We are in a better place right now so she has a whole room to her self so she should do better this time. I've read a lot of post where people criticize people for letting there cat's get pregnant or not fix the

My cat has white stuff coming from her vagina? Is this normal? Does this mean she's close to giving birth? I read depending on the color it could be infection? P

It depends on what it is... And what you mean with white stuff.  Different discharges are very common when they are nearing the labor.  Also the labor itself may be quite soily.

You are measuring her temp the whole time now, right?   And it is lowish, under 100F?   As I saw in your other thread.   So she runs no fever, and thus, hopefully, no infection.   The third eyelid visible?    Third eyelid visible or not doesnt need to mean much, but it is common when they have some sort of infection in the body.

Anyways, if you are still unsure on the white stuff,  phone your vet.  The vet will better know what follow up questions to give.

And your vet isnt too bad on obstetrics, he could pinpoint her delivery rather exactly just by palpating - didnt he??

Saying anytime between august 22-30 is .a good guess, as their pregnancy lengh is no exact science either.

Good luck!

I have been taking her temp every day. It's was any where between 99.1- 99.6 sense Monday. Dismorning she was back up to 100.6 and now is down to 99.1 again. I ended up calling the vet and he said the fluid was normal and that the babies where in postion for labor. She had some more fluid dismorning which looked a little grey is. He said 24 hours yesterday at 3 and still nothing... I feel like my vet just really doesn't care.

Probably because he knows usually its just to wait it out, cats manage late deliveries better than humans.

Anyway, som links, perhaps you will have help from them, if not now so a little later.

Good luck!

No hasn't she's three days over due. My vet told me not to worry. This may sound weird but is it normal to be able to look inside your cat and see her cervix. My husband and I were taking her temp today and noticed it. You barely spread her parts and it's like a big hole. Her cervix looks closed. But then again I'm not an expert so wouldn't know. She's scheduled to be induced if she doesn't have them by Monday. I'm so worried because I didn't think cat pregnancy could go so over due but my vet keeps saying everything looks okay...
