Google today released the 64-bit version of the browser for Windows 7 and 8 on their stable releases channel:

http://thenextweb.com/google/2014/08/26/google-chrome-64-bit-arrives-windows-7-windows-8/

If you are a Chrome user using a 64-bit Win7/8, you may want to take advantage of the faster and safer x64 version. The only known issue with the x64 is that you can't use Google Earth and Google Voice, but since Earth is now part of the Maps update, and Voice is integrated into Hangouts, there should be little issue.

You can also help TCS by reporting any bugs encountered on the x64 browser in Site Help

Funny; since the update Chrome won't connect to the internet for me.  I'm not particularly techy.  I've played around for a few minutes trying to figure out what is wrong; but no luck.  I also tried uninstalling it and reinstalling with no luck.  I need more hours in my day.

Yuck. Did you check the proxy settings? What is the message you're getting?

Let's see...I took a screenshot.

I tried (to the best of my knowledge) to remove it and allow it again.  Nothing changed.  I had to leave for a dentist appointment so I eventually just shut it down.

I've not had a good year with web browsers.  A while back I switched to Chrome because of how often IE crashed on me.  Then Chrome got to crashing so I switched to FireFox.  Now FireFox crashes twice as often (or more) as Chrome.  Another friend of mine had the same issue with Firefox when they update so I knew it wasn't just me.
