FF Allergy ??

I  think my cat is possibly allergic to Fancy Feast .. I have always used stainless steel dishes with no problem .

Since my cats have been eating FF  my female has been having  chin acne  . It recently got worse . I  cleaned her chin daily and it helped . I don't know what made me think of it but I  thought maybe the problem could be the food .. So after they ran out I stopped feeding FF  and without me cleaning her chin anymore it completely  cleared up ..

Could she be allergic to the FF or is this merely a coincidence ? 

Anyway , for now they are eating their kibble until I can find another wet food  .. 

Suggestions ??

They are super picky so it is not going to be easy ...

It's certainly possible that something in Fancy Feast could be an issue. The only way to know is to try other foods and compare ingredient lists to find commonalities and eliminate them. You could also try novel protein limited ingredient foods to try to eliminate as much as possible. Grains, starchy vegetables likes peas, chicken, beef, and fish are common allergens for cats.

Which ff did you feed classics are grain free others are not and is their dry grain free? Could be grain allergy or fish?

Thank you  .  I am thinking it may be something in the FF .. It would be almost impossible to do an elimination diet as these cats are very picky . Fancy Feast was the only wet food they would eat ..

They will not eat pate in any brand .. I am quite sure it is not a grain allergy as both of them have never had a problem with grain .. 

They also do not like fish .. 

I think I will just not feed the Fancy Feast . She is not having a problem now ..

Fancy feast does have some dye in it. My cat sometimes throws it up. Mine prefers pate. When she was young and I did not know about gravies etc being bad for cats, she threw up a lot from ff with gravies. I now stay
away from corn, wheat(gravy) and soy. The occasional brown rice in some canned food is the only grain I expose them to. Vomiting has cut down dramatically. My girl cat is pickiest cat ever, boy eats everything. When she won't eat something, he gets it. There are grain free, dye free food in bits and shreds with a gravy not made from wheat like FF and Friskies on the market since they do not like pate.

Thank you .. Yes I was thinking that too .. I will do some research and try to find a couple of brands to taste test  on them ..  I would prefer them not to be on dry food but for now it will have to do.
