A classmate of mine and I Skyped while she was back home in China and she got me a gift and helped me place an online order that would have been 8 times more expensive had I ordered from Canada. About $8.50 there, about $70 here.

Well, we were able to meet up yesterday and she's been asking me for pictures. This is probably what I'll look like whenever I'm home in the colder seasons. It's SUPER soft and plush feeling. I made a point to walk by my boyfriend's computer while he was streaming his gameplay, so his footage from today may or may not have a giraffe in it for a second.

And then she got me this charm with my name on it! I was envious of hers, so I gave her my name and she went out and got it for me... in simplified Chinese (which isn't what my family and I use), but cute nonetheless!

lmao. Next time get a wheely cart, sit on it, and then roll yourself past the webcam with a poker face. For bonus points, do it veeeeery slowly.

The price thing is weird. For me it's the other way round. Stuffs are much cheaper here than over there. Ever since mom found out about Coach Online, I've doubled up as the North American Unofficial Coach Distribution and Fulfillment Center.

Those look comfy!  I'd totally put my kids in those!
But not me.  Wouldn't want people thinking it's a whale giraffe combo...

@FhiCat I'm so bummed. My boyfriend hasn't been porting his streaming to YouTube so I can't even go looking for myself!

LOL - certain things are way more expensive in Asia than here. I mean, I could fork out like $700 for an iPhone 5 at any electronics or department store (not that I would - that's obscene!), but as soon as an Apple Store opens there, it's lined up around several blocks for people to pay $900+ and then there's that kid who sold a kidney for one... The difference is most of the stuff I can get from Asia cheaper is stuff I'm content receiving knock-offs for.
Your mom has expensive taste! We have 2 Coach outlets in my hometown and my mom really likes them, but I've never seen the appeal. I think the bags are kind of ugly and no single accessory is worth that amount of money (says the girl who got a $25 purse from a Chinese plaza).

@MoochNNoodles HAHA, they come in so many sizes and they look so baggy anyway.
There are lots of kids ones too, but for the prices I see from what I would call the more "legit" sites, they're still pretty expensive. Great for Hallowe'en and sleepovers though, and super comfy indeed!

@Natalie_ca I had been wanting one of these for MONTHS before! I was so hesitant to order them online to Canada, and I only order from eBay sellers who have 100% positive ratings, so I was originally stalking this website, Kigirumi.ca, that orders straight from Japan to Canada since I don't always trust Chinese knock-offs. As my friend was already in China and browsing for a Totoro one for herself on a site called TaoBao where she gets all her stuff, she sent me the link and at ¥49 (almost $9) I couldn't resist. I had her to vouch for the site and the quality when she received it, which was better than I anticipated for the price. She got me ¥19 (about $3) yellow slippers too, but they look like dino feet. It's too warm for them right now anyway.

@Winchester Thanks! This is by far the best purchase I've made from China.
I used to want a red panda one, but some of the faces look so dumb. The giraffe at least still had a cute face. I showed it to my mom on Skype last night and she busted up laughing.

Cute and those do look comfy!  I would wear them for fun or if I was freezing... why not! :) Nice of your friend to help you out.

For some reason; I'm really thinking my father's girlfriend would love to get these as a Christmas present. But bunny ones.  She loves bunnies and has a few as pets.  They are treated ROYALLY!
