I hope all our members from California are OK today. Just reading about the 6.0 quake that hit near San Fransisco. Scary stuff, and I'm very happy to read that no one was killed.

I'm with you.  DH woke me up early this a.m. to tell me about it and then I couldn't find it on the news.  So happy there were no fatalities and hope those who were injured make a good recovery.

Same with you both.

I'm fine - thanks for asking. The quake happened about 249 miles north of where I live and we didn't feel it here unlike the quake back in in 1989 in Loma Linda (we felt that here and that's rare for it to travel so far.). The strongest one here in my area was in 2003 and it was a  6.5 magnitude.

Hope those closer to  the epicenter are okay.

I have a friend who said she lives very close to the area.  She said she and her son are ok; and thankfully have no damage to their property or vehicle.  Earthquakes are something I'm totally ok not experiencing.  (I have felt one before; that was enough.)

Yeah, the Loma Prieta earthquake in 1989 was much closer to us, only about 60 miles away.  We sure felt that one, and did a lot of volunteer work in the aftermath, taking supplies to people whose homes were destroyed and were in shelters.

The one yesterday was about 150 miles north of us.  I heard reports that some people around here felt it, but we didn't.  As far as I know, there were homes destroyed, some fires and some injuries but no deaths.
