For the last few days my cat has been sneezing a lot and one eye us watering. Can it just be a common cold?

He is 1 1/2 years old.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @BronxnBrooklyn

Absolutely yes.  This is probably the most common infectious cat illness.  Usually its because they had contact with another cat who was ill? Has yours been outside or around other cats?

Cat colds can become serious if not treated, as cats can stop eating if they become clogged and lose their sense of smell, and the eyes can be damaged if they get bad and aren't treated.  They can also get pneumonia in some cases.  Having said all that, your cat needs to see a vet.  It's not an expensive illness, usually some antibiotics to prevent more serious issues and eye meds for the eyes.  Please take your kitty to a vet and keep us updated ok.
