Hello. My name is Sara. I am a 37 year old female who lived in the Cincinnati area for most of my life. On January 1, 2013, my boyfriend and I packed up and moved 2000+ miles away to a whole new world. California. Los Angeles. We wanted a fresh start and we got just that. Our first 14 months were the toughest. Luckily, I met Delilah in June of 2013 (5 months into L.A.) She was such a blessing. I think it was about June 6, 2013 when I saw her. I was walking home and I was at a crosswalk. I saw a car swerve and blow its horn. After he finished driving passed, I saw what happened. A tiny little black furrball had skurried across the street and almost got hit. When the light finally changed, I ran across the street and looked in the bushes. There it was. Tiny, with black fur and gorgeous gold eyes (They turned. They are 'striking' green, now). I fell in love. I reached in and grabbed her. She actually was not really afraid of me. She was a little wary for a minute, but she got over that real quick.

It took 2 days to figure out a good name for her. I cant just randomly name any cat. Especially a black cat. IDK, I just believe they should have decent names. I only have Delilah, but here is all the names my (family's) cats have had: Pee-Wee (grey tiger/bad attitude), Keysa (means Cat in Icelandic...), Scruffy (Big sweet baby boy, grey and white. super soft. drooled when he purred), Koma (Ragdoll), Sassy(Solid white), Jezebel (1st girl black cat), Freddy (1st black male), Atom (Black Tuxedo), Tabitha (duh. Tabby LOL), and that brings me to... Delilah.

Delilah hates being in direct Los Angeles sunlight. Delilah loves good chin scratches and foot rubs. Yes, she sure does. She licks to ask nicely to be put down or taken out of the sunlight and into the shade. She is very smart. She will let you know what she wants. She hates pate cat food. It has to be flaked, cut, sliced or shredded or whatever, Just no lump LOL. She is content in a harness and on a leash walking through downtown Los Angeles. As a matter of fact, she has a black/pink dress and a black Tee shirt w/the words"Rock Star" in pink. She will wear either.  She also a winter coat. She is adorable.  She stays inside.  We live in  Downtown L.A. so when she goes outside it is with me while wearing a harness.  She is a cool kitty walking around with me.  People are amazed by her and everyone she meets falls in love with my Delilah..

Thanks for having a look.  We are new here.  Found it on googl search for cats and social networks.... and here we are.  Feel free to stop by and just say "Hi."

Delilah is just adorable.  I'll bet she gets quite a bit of attention in her little outfits!

Welcome to you both! That sounds like quite a move, I've done a similar one but from Canada to South GA. I hope you are enjoying LA and all the business that ensues there. Delilah is lucky to have found you.

Thank you all so much for welcoming us here.  I am going to try to get more pictures of my 'Lilah up ASAP.  I just got this laptop shipped from my dad.  It is not new, but it is mine!  I am still learning how to get the pics from my cell to the 'puter...  LOL

Delilah was just a few months old in this pic.  Maybe 3 or 4 months.  She was (still is) so adorable.

This picture was taken at L.A. Live on Olympic Blvd. in downtown L.A. (DTLA).  She was stalking birds in the the flowerbeds outside of StarBucks.

I am tired and don't feel like trying to figure out how to rotate this.  She will chill up on my shoulder.  If she gets tired of walking, she will sit up on my shoulders and ride.  Eventually, she will climb/hop down off me and continue walking.   She is, actually, very easy to walk.  It is the only safe way to take her outside in DTLA.
