A photo of my furry alarm clock!

The cat food was brought to my house yesterday, but since I was away during one hour I missed it. So I´ll go and get it at the postoffice today. And I´ve prepared for some raw for her today as well. A feast!

Awww gorgeous :) what's her name?

I've just finished packing kitties week stay over bag. Food, toys, blankets and medication. I do hope they're ok. I am worried about leaving them in case they get worse. Trying to think positive though! :)

Thanks! Yes, she is gorgeous! Not biased at all.....

Her name is Ronja, named after the character Ronja Rövardotter (Astrid Lindgren) which is my favorite of her books. Ronja (in the book) is daring, courageous, determined and kind. She is also loyal. And she has long black hair. I think that name fits my "tornado-kitty" quite well!.

that everything goes well, and that you don´t worry to much.....

Byt the way, I opened one 100 g can of Grau yesterday and gave her a nibble. Yum! And right now she is eating her breakfast (half zp, half grau). I hope that her stomach is ok afterwards....

Report about Grau grain free with rabbit: She seems to like it, but is not crazy about it. The litterbox  smells normal, next to nothing. But the food smells more than zp. Her stomach seems to be fine with it. So, so far so good. I´ll  be persistent with it since she´s not reacting with itching when eating it.

Hi! Sorry for late reply was on holiday in Tunisia. Got back Saturday.

Half to hear she's not reacted to the Grau food. My two seem ok after being at the cattery a week and they're getting on top of the ringworm (touch wood). Phoebe has a poorly tummy and had a bit of diarrhea but my vet thinks it's because of the stress over the last week of being in a strange place and then coming home. Frankie seems ok.

So would you recommend the Grau grain free?

Welcome back!

Well, I´ve found out that she likes the flavor with lamb much better, so I would recommend it. The annoying thing for me is that the cans are a bit difficult to open, and that the portions always get to big for her- 100 g is to much for one meal, 200 g to much for two meals, and not enough för three....

I think I have to put half a portion in the freezer and add half a portion next- then serve the food? A bit messy though. But she seems to like it, and her fur is gleaming with health.

Aww thanks :)

Yes it sounds messy but worth a try? Not tried freezing cat food before though haha. I have the same problem with the 200g tins. With me having two cats it's too much for one meal. I can make it stretch two but won't feed the whole can in one day. Instead i do it over two and put in fridge. When need it I take it out for 30 minutes and then feed them.

I think the catz finefoods rabbit and lamb have them sickness and diarrhoea :( they seem bit better today. My vet prescribed 3 days special gastrointestinal diet to let the gut rest but they're missing their royal Canin kibble! I'm saying it's the food but it coul well be stress from travelling. It was 40 minutes in the car. Phoebe is a bouncy bubble again. Frankie's getting there. So far nothing nasty in the litter box so lets hope it was a 48 hour thing :) you know when you think you have no luck?? Haha

I´ve freezed canned food before, when I did not want to feed the same "fatty" flavor (food with all lamb can easily get to rich in calories!) two days in a row. But she eats everything- even when it´s nearly deep frozen.....

Well, why not blame an upset tummy on the car ride?

Wait..... cuddle break!

Might be that she loves the new regime of food- half wet grau/zp half raw. Today she spent 45 minutes eating a chicken wing. She growled at me when I took the last piece of it and threw it away- she had eaten enough! And the fact that we found ripe raspberries at the walk? She got nearly half of each berry......

I stayed loyal to rc a long time, because the food kept the tummy in order, so I know the feeling. Keeping my fingers crossed that it stays away!

I know people say it's not the best as it contains cereals but it keeps them in check. They're on Digestive Health which is one of two kitten flavours. They did not like the kitten sterilised.

Could have been the car journey but took a while to kick it. Brought them home Saturday evening and Phoebe started with it Monday evening and Frankie yesterday morning - that I noticed. Hard to tell when there are two in and out of the tray and it's at night. Got given a probiotic paste too to 'bung them up' ha by the vet.

Just fed them actually. A small portion of the RC kibble. STARVING! Never seen Frankie eat so fast. I only fed very small portion in case we have a reaction. Mainly vomiting for speed eating! Hoping not. If not will do 3 small portions RC dry tomorrow and 2 very small wet portions. Complicated this :) maybe Saturday I can mix in the wet food they're used to into the special diet. This one is Hills.

Haha my old cat used to growl at her brother whenever she had a meaty bone or something. Very protective and slightly greedy she was ;) I agree with lamb. I'm certain that didn't help tummy matters with my two. They had lamb and rabbit Sunday morning. Won't feed again in a hurry.

How are your cats now? Still upset tummys?

I´m not going to buy Grau again- She likes it, but I can´t stand the smell.... so it is "help- we´re all out of food!"-food at the moment

Awww cute!! :) the cats seem better. I continued with a probiotic in their water and tummies settled after 48 hours. Phoebe continued to be sick but I think she has been trying to bring up a hair ball. Found a small one this morning with partially digested breakfast! Lovely.

Well... I'm glad you said that about Grau. I did my order this morning from zp and I got a lot but for some reason I wasn't sold on Grau. I got a mix of- Thrive Complete, Catz Finefood, Applaws, Lily's Kitchen and Feringa as they really love the rabbit flavour. Now CF and feringa smell also if you ever order them. I honestly don't mind smelly cat food.

;)

You´ll probably find that zp smells more like meat, less like cat food. Lamb smells more than the other. I´ve ordered beef- it will arrive today or tomorrow, hopefully she likes it as much as the other flavors. Which one did you order?

So, I will probably stay with zp wet and dry, and half raw homemade (! After quite some reading and research). The litterbox smells absolutely nothing on raw, very little on zp canned.

Do send me a private message when you have tried zp- will be interesting to see if your cats love it as much as mine do!

By zp you mean ziwipeak? I've yet to try that brand. I'm working my way down a list haha :)

I've ordered quite a lot of fishy ones (smelly) but got rabbit and duck too. Duck is new for them. My Granatapet came today too. Salmon and seafood and order chicken with duck. Phoebe loved the fish one but Frankie tried again to bury it!! Bless him. He usually takes more convincing unless it's tuna or prawn. They've not had salmon before.

I've ordered a big batch so should keep them going until November I think. Plus ordered a big 4kg of dry RC kitten
