Have you ever wondered....

What made your cat the way they are? Was it just bred into them or do we raise them to be the way they are?

As Bentley was demanding to be cuddled I was looking at him wondering *** did I do to have such a cute, irritating, smart, crazy cat. He's such a massive brat.
Did I do that?? Lol

It's definitely a mixture of both. For instance wolfey's mom flower used to always attack our computer mouse. Wolfey never saw her do it but now he does the same thing. None of our unrelated cats bother. It was passed down.

I sometimes wonder that. Like I watch other peoples cat and wonder why they like their stomachs rubbed but mine doesn't or why they eat catnip and mine doesn't. Morticia is the only cat I have ever had, and I have had quite a bit of cats, that will not even so much as give catnip a second sniff. 

Or why some cats just lay around and literally do nothing. I've never ever had a lazy cat.

I have no idea. My cat loves belly rubs, does dog tricks, talks to me, wags his tail when happy, likes his fur rubbed backward, is really playful and on the large side. Most people's cats just seem like ornaments. But I think its partly to do with his innate personality and partly because I try to interact with him alot. I don't know why he is solid black and twice the size of his tiny tortoiseshell mother. In my head he is some other animal but not a 'cat' like i see pictures and videos or handle other people's cats

Can't be for any more different than the environmental and hereditary factors that determine human personalities and physical traits.
