Hello - Recently my Vet told me that my 14yr. old female cat has a bit of arthritis.  Yesterday I started her on 1/4 tsp., of Hyaluronan.  Has anyone had an experience with Hyaluronan?  I would appreciate comments/suggestions.  Many Thanks. Jeanette

I don't have any experience with Hyaluronan. But based on what Hyaluronan is (I had to Google it!), it seems similar to Glucosmine, which several posters use/have used. Why did you vet recommend Hyaluronan and not a Glucosomine supplement such as this one?

Actually my Vet didn't recommend it.  I have been going to a Holistic place for yrs., here in NYC.   It was recommended to me there and since I have such confidence in the gentleman who owns the place I didn't think twice about trying it.  Also, this is in liquid form and very east administer.

Oh, okay; though I'd be more comfortable if a holistic VET recommended the supplement.
And, I say this as someone who is very open to holistic/homeopathic treatments for vets; and some of my own health care practitioners are holistic in nature.
And yes, liquid can be much easier to administer, especially if flavored.

Hi Jeanette. I don't have much experience in using Hyaluronan BUT have heart of it and used it in horses and even dogs. Not sure about cats but would trust your vet IF he is recommending trying. Hopefully, other members will chime in here that have some experience with this medication for arthritis. I have used Cosequin and Dausequin before but not Hyaluronan.
