She is super adorable! I don't know much about cat breeds. But she definitely likes she is either going to be medium or longhaired.

Thanks Sunflowers! I mean with an adorable little face like that who could say no I won't adopt you? I guess only time will tell.

Maine Coon is a breed of cat, mackerel tabby describes the colour and pattern of her coat so yes, she could be a mackerel tabby Maine Coon. However, only a very small percentage of cats are an actual breed, most of them are classed as DSH or DLH. Unless you have papers to prove her pedigree she wouldn't be considered a Maine Coon, but shelters sometimes use terms such as "Maine Coon Type" or "Siamese Type" when describing kittens they have up for adoption.

Either way, she's a really pretty kitten.

His body hair aint very long. That is surely why the shelter though he is shorthair, just with some kitten-fuzzy hair.

But in unsure cases, the tail is usually revealing.  With his bushy tail, he is surely no shorthair!

I would say, medium haired then.

Wow , what an adorable baby and she has grown into a beautiful girl .. She does have a Maine Coon look ..
