I love my 2 adorable beautiful sweeties but they are driving me crazy...my hands are full with my 2yo toddler waking up screaming and crying from his painful teething early in the morning...but it's just too much when my 2 furry butts jump on my bed and use every method they can to wake me up, including meowing loud in my ear, headbutting me, sticking their cold wet nose in my eye and wagging their tail in my face...not fun when I'm 1/2 asleep and didn't sleep well...and I'd love to do the auto feeding thing, but they are both very particular and I'm not sure they would take to it right away and I saw a couple in my local petco and they look nice, but they don't look like they would work well...I don't know how 1 works on a timer, but it looks like as soon as they eat some, more food is poured out and it could be endless and backfire...my Calico is a very big heavy girl and needs to lose weight and it's not a good idea to risk feeding her too much...because of the heatwave and my needing to prevent ants and insects, I need to feed them just a tiny amount with a tiny bit of water and I think the reason why they keep coming to me to feed them more is because I can only feed them so much each time, but they do it 6 times every morning and then there are the furball spitups and stepping in them when I'm 1/2 asleep is ewww gross...I love them dearly and I love being their cat Mama, but this is exhausting! Are other Mamas out there who have human little ones as well as fur babies? Please help! Thank you for listening.

Here are some thoughts.  To prevent the ants, place the food dish on top or another larger dish or plater that has some water in it, that will stop the ants.  And if you're not feeding wet food, consider adding that to their diet to help satisfy them.
