When is the movie due out??

The US release date is June 4. It's a Friday, but knowing us, we'll probably see it at a midnight show (12 AM Friday). And possibly again later in the day LOL!

I am pretty excited about Gary Oldman as Sirius Black - I think the casting in these movies so far has been perfect!!

I agree! He looks spot-on as Sirius. I am so psyched, as this is my favorite of the HP books.

Also have seen the trailer for the new Peter Pan movie which comes out soon, the same actor who plays Lucius Malfoy plays Captain Hook! (I knew I'd seen that evile smile somewhere before!)

I like the third and fourth books the best - I'd be hard pressed to pick one over the other.

I can't remember the actor's name who played Lucius - but he was also in The Patriot with Mel Gibson. He was absolutely perfect as Lucius!!!

I just love Harry Potter. And The Prisoner is my favorite of all the stories so far. The trailer is really exciting - can't imagine waiting another 7+ months to see the movie though. Thanks for the link - I'll be playing that trailer again, and again !

The 4th book is my fav, but I loved this book as well. I don't know if I can wait until June. Saw the trailer at the movies on Tuesday and I got all excited I was bouncing in my seat - poor hubby!

My favorite books are #3 and #5, and Lupin and Black are two of my favorite characters, so I'm really looking forward to this (plus the new director is a bit more "dark" than Christopher Columbus, perfect for handling the dementors).

I read within the past day or two that Daniel Radcliffe (Harry) has signed on for the film of book 4. No word on any of the other characters yet...

Last thing I read (and no I can't remember where I read it) all three of the main characters have signed for the fourth film. It might have been the Leaky Couldron website, but I could be wrong.

I can't wait, either. The third book has thus far been my favorite. I can really see Gary Oldman as Sirius Black - he can pull off most characters - but I wonder who is playing Remus Lupin? I'm glad it'll be the same kids in the 4th film.

Lupin is being played by David Thewlis. He was in the recent Dinotopia miniseries, and will be in Timeline.
