So terrified my kitten may die... I have 2 cats that aren't mine that a mom lefted here a few months ago. So I decided to get a kitten of my own. Well she's about 7 weeks and one of the older cats has attacked her twice now. But tonight it was the worst. She bite her neck so hard she was bleeding everywhere :( I have no money to take her to a expensive vet. I shaved the hair down and cleaned her up and she's content now but sure hope she'll be ok. Taking the other cat to the humane society tomorrow but not sure how the other older cat will be once she's gone. Ughhhh so frustrated. I never thought a cat would kill a kitten but she like prays on her. I have to keep kitten in one of the bedrooms. My son has become very attached to the kitten and I just pray she'll be ok. The older cat got in my sons room and hide. Attacked the baby while sleeping right next to my son. Loud crying I ran in his room and turned on the light to blood on bed and all over the kitten :( any suggestions? Please help

Cat bites almost always infect and your kitten needs to be on antibiotics or she will very likely get a bad infection that could kill her.  Maybe a local rescue group would treat her for you or give you antibiotics.  Also, the kitten should not be with the other cats.  Introductions take a long time usually and the kitten needs to have a room of her own with her food & water and litter in it, which you were doing, with your son's room, but obviously the door was open and the other cat got in, so you need to make sure that doesn't happen.  You can't really blame the other cat, she thinks its her house and the kitten is an invader.. Unless your Humane Society is a no-kill organization, I don't think you should turn the attacking cat in where she may be euthanized.  It isn't really her fault, she's just being a cat.  I don't quite understand why you have two cats that you say aren't yours, that a mom left there a few months ago.  Are they kittens too, do you mean a mom cat?  Or a human mom who left 2 cats.  In any case, here is an article about how you should introduce cats to other cats which might help.  http://www.thecatsite.com/a/introducing-cats-to-cats

I knew before I read it that the attacker was a female and the kitten a female too.

Girls are boss, the top cats, and males instinctively know this and will submit to her being the top cat.

But some girls have an exceptionally strong disposition and will NEVER go for a female in the home, kitten or not. Often times it will be a tortie or calico, as they already have stronger dispositions.

Especially irritating if the kitten was pestering her innocently.

It was her way of putting her in her place, unfortunately the baby doesn't have any desire to compete for her position in the home, but let me say this, it will likely be a much bigger problem as the kitten becomes sexually mature and not so kittenish.

As for the kitten now, she won't die but certainly needs to get on antibiotics asap.

This WILL surely get infected, they always seem to, and abcess, and she is not big enough to handle an infection.

I would get her to a vet asap.
