Hello so my car recently got outside and shes been out there for about 2 1/2 weeks Iv`e tryed finding her but then she came home on here own, she was really skinny and she had a few scratches but not life harming, she was a little stumbly but i thaught she just needed some food, but 2 days later i noticed it was getting worse, i examined her body and found nothing . I felt her stomach thinking she was pregnat and i felt nothing she has been eating almost 2 bowls of food a day, (small bowls) and plenty of water, but last night on the (8-18-14) i noticed she was having trouble worse than all the other times she could barely walk, it struck instantly she was panting/ hyperventilating fast i put her on the floor she stopped hyperventilating but she couldent walk on her back legs, so i sat her down in her bed and she went right to sleep everything seemed fine, i woke up 2 hours later hearing her meowing really loud, like she was mad, but there was nothing to be mad about, she wouldent open her eyes and she wouldent walk, i dont know what is wroung should i take her to the vet or wait and see if she will heal and be better, ? please someone help!

It sounds like she is in pain.

The panting and the meowing are a sign of that. Cats don't usually show that they are hurt so if she is in so much pain that it affects her breathing it's serious.

She needs to see a vet right away. I don't know what time it is where you are, but if you check online you'll be able to find 24 hour emergency vets in your area.

Please don't wait. She could have internal injuries which might kill her.

Take a look at her paws. Are the pads a little scuffed? Are her claws rough looking like she's dragged them on stone? She might have been hit by a car which could explain the trouble walking and breathing.

Hope you can find a vet soon.

Her paws are fine the only thing im concerned about right now is why her eyes are shut and she has the shite film over them, its worrying me, Ill see if she can walk give me a minute but i think she will maybe heal over time

By a film do you mean her eyes are sticky, like from an eye infection? Or are they kind of glazed and unfocused?

OK, that white film is her third eyelid. That comes across her eye when she is sick or injured. The fact that she is listless and only opens her eyes when you pick her up suggests that she's not feeling good at all.

I'd strongly recommend a trip to the vet.

Please find a vet regardless. If she won't open her eyes on her own and is visibly in some sort of discomfort, it's best for her to be seen by a professional who, if necessary, can at least alleviate some of her pain. Often times people assume their pets will recover fine on their own, but we don't know the extent of her injuries or what may have happened while she was gone. Waiting and hoping she gets better on her own in a couple days could be waiting too long and having her not make it.

Best of luck - I hope she can be seen by a vet promptly.

This link might be useful in future.

http://www.thecatsite.com/a/when-you-cant-afford-a-veterinarian

Lots of vets will accept a check and agree not to cash it until your next pay day, some offer cheaper services to families on low incomes. Some vets don't demand payment upfront if you explain your situation to them, which could give you time to get the money together.

You could call around the vets in your area and see if any will help you out. Any friends or family that might give you a ride to the vets?

Even if we could see the video we wouldn't be able to treat your cat or dispense any medicine. All we could do is suggest what is wrong with her and recommend a trip to the vet.

Good luck with finding a vet and a ride.

No. Salt isn't good for cats but you'd have to give her massive amounts to cause the kind of problems you are describing.

well i gave her a few and she seemed to like them, and i gave them to her before with no problem but i think when i gave her more than a couple maybe 15 small small small chips would make her sick and she would be better soon do you think i felt in her stomach earlier some poping which i beilive is gas.
