Almost a month ago I started volunteering with a local adoption organization, and just a week after that I saw a 4 week old kitten and mother in my driveway... they started it all, and I hope to get them yet. This has become the task I look forward to the most, caring for feral cats. I'm only sad about not starting sooner.

I've trapped (as of an hour ago) two of the cats in the area, an area which has had "stray" cats in it for as long as I've been at this place--about a year an a half. Seeing a kitten, that kicked my motivation into overdrive (No one's caring for the feral cats in this area, must act!) So I finally reached out to some groups I know of to find people in my area to work with. Everyone has been incredibly supportive and selfless, it's amazing.

There's been nothing but support and love from the people who have helped me, and I can't imagine ever being passive again when I see an unknown cat run past my window. The people that have done and do this kind of work are amazing, and I want to be a part of it.

I have four feral cats in my garage for release or spaying and I've never been happier.

Welcome to the forums and thank you for caring and taking the time to help out the ferals.  It is a very rewarding task.  I just released a feral on Saturday morning after trying to trap him for months.
