Multiple holes in one foot, white bumps on another

About a week ago I noticed a couple of holes in one of my cat's front feet.  There is no bleeding, and do not seem to be painful to him.  The vet said there was some bacteria in the holes, but had "never seen anything like it."  The holes go into his foot like a tunnel and are in/under the skin.

Yesterday I noticed a cluster of white bumps just under the skin of his other front foot in the same location between the pad and his toes.  Today this white bump area is a bit inflamed and more puffy.

Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!  He does have a follow up with the vet on Thursday...

I have a picture of his foot when I noticed this about a week ago, but keep getting an error when I try to upload it.  I can email it if you want to see it.  Thanks!

I wonder if the white bumps on the other foot are going to create the same effect now as you're seeing in the opposite foot (the holes)?  Very strange, and I've never heard of anyone posting anything similar.  If your Vet hasn't heard of it either, then I don't know what to tell you
.  What are you doing about the bacteria that is there?  Any treatment?  Is your Vet checking with another source to try to get to the bottom of this (like a nearby University).  Thankfully your furbaby doesn't seem bothered by it, but I would still want to know what's happening, since it's possible it could get worse
.    If this other foot starts developing into the same thing, and your current Vet doesn't do anything about it, I would certainly entertain the idea about a 2nd opinion.

Have you seen this article on posting pictures?  http://www.thecatsite.com/a/how-to-add-an-image-to-your-forum-post

The vet did give Joey an antibiotic shot for the bacterial infection. I am also worried the white bumps are going to turn to holes like on the other foot.

That looks bad.  If it wasn't also starting on the other foot I would almost think it was some kind of a bite.  I'm not much help, I haven't seen anything like that.  Hopefully someone else here has seen something similar.

I would get him to a different vet, maybe a feline specialist, for a second opinion.

I have never seen anything like that before.  Could it be some kind of parasite that has burrowed into the skin? You may need to get a second opinion.
