Hey guys!
I always get a bit excited when I find a good brand of cat food at the natural pet food store and wanna tell you guys about it. I came across a brand called Wild Calling made here in my home state of Colorado. There are three dry cat food recipes with one animal protein: Rabbit, Turkey, or Salmon. There are also a bunch of different animal proteins such as Rabbit, Buffalo, Chicken, Turkey, and Beef.
The ingredients for the rabbit dry food are:
Rabbit Meal, Rabbit, Sweet Potato, Lentils, Turkey Fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols and citric acid), Tapioca, Dried Peas, Natural Flavor, Coconut Oil (preserved with mixed tocopherols and citric acid), Dried Seaweed Meal, Bacillus coagulans Fermentation Product, Choline Chloride, DL-Methionine, L-Lysine, Potassium Chloride, Salt, Taurine, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Calcium Carbonate, Zinc Proteinate, Vitamin E Supplement, Manganese Proteinate, Ferrous Sulfate, Niacin, Copper Proteinate, Thiamine Mononitrate, Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin A Supplement, Manganous Oxide, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Sodium Selenate, Riboflavin, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Biotin, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Calcium Iodate, Folic Acid.
And for the chicken wet food it's:
Chicken, Water (Sufficient for Processing), Liver, Cassia Gum, Guar Gum, Minerals (Zinc Oxide, Zinc Proteinate, Ferrous Sulfate, Manganous Oxide, Copper Sulfate, Sodium Selenite, Copper Proteinate, Manganese Proteinate, Calcium Iodate, Cobalt Carbonate), Vitamins (Choline Chloride, Taurine, Vitamin E Supplement, Thiamine Mononitrate, Niacin Supplement, Vitamin A Supplement, Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Folic Acid, Biotin).
So as you can see, other than the gums and I think there's brewers yeast in the beef formula, I think all the other ingredients are fine in the wet food too. Plus I think it says that the wet food contains 96% of animal protein and 80 or so % for dry, I think.
What do you guys think? I think the dry food looks pretty good. I'm currently feeding my cat 80% Tiki Cat (which we both loooooove) and 20% Orijen dry food (which I wanna switch her away from). The pet store I went to gave me free samples of the dry food and I want to try it.
