Shera and Maxwell

Hello all! I'm new to the site. My cats are Shera and Max. I've had Shera for 2 years and Max for 2 days! Shera is very alpha and so it's going to take a very long time to introduce Max to her. He is quite submissive and happy to just relax in my lap. I have found a wealth of encouragement and info on this site, so I wanted to thank everyone. Please do keep the encouragement coming!! Hearing your darling only child hiss and be upset is difficult.

Welcome! Adorable cats, and best of luck for a smooth introduction!

Thank you both!! Max is doing beautifully. Shera is having a hard time and hissing a lot. Living alone, it's hard for me to give equal time to both kitties and that makes me feel terrible! In all honesty, it's probably not all that bad on them. But you know how we are with our babies!
