spit in cats eye

So the weirdest thing happened to me today and I'm really worried. I sneezed right as my cat jumped up to me and got saliva/snot right in his eye. I saw a big spit glob right near his right eye and saw that his eye was watering and he was favoring it. I wiped what I could on the outside and his eye has stopped watering and looks like he isn't favoring it anymore. Just worried that bacteria could get in, I'm not sick and it happened so fast!

He should be fine right?

It was also definitely a glob of spit and not snot. I'm a mouth sneezer unfortunately, and couldn't get covered up.

Update: He's been acting normal for the most part and no signs like any pain or anything. Still a little worried.
