Saturday's Question of the Day -- Aug 16

Summer and winter is coming to an end! Some say due to the earth's neutral alignment toward the sun in the autumnal equinox, it's high time for magic and witchcraft.

Suppose a wizard conjured a piece of magical paper that allows any sentient being to understand you if you write on it. However, once the paper is used once, it disintegrates. Suppose the wizard was eaten by a rampaging pancake, one of his miscreations. You dispatched the pancake, but now you hold the only piece of paper that allows you to communicate once with any sentient being. The paper is the size of a Post-It note. Who will you communicate with, and what will you write?

I actually don't have an answer yet. I have to think on this for a bit. 

Are there sentient beings, other than humans and animals, in this scenario? Since you mention "wizard" I suppose there are also giants, muggles, hobbits, orcs, elves, and wicked stepmothers. Does the being have to still be alive, or can the note reach those who have passed?

Interesting. Can they respond or only receive my words? I'm also curious about if they can be someone who has died?

LOL, this is a tough question. I read it right when it got posted and the next day I still haven't decided.

The post-it note would go to my mother, and it would say I forgive you.

I'm sure it would go to Cynthia so I could explain to her all the things we do that are for her good, but probably don't seem like that to her, and that we do them because we love her so much.
