I'm fostering 4 3 week old kittens and a 5 day old kitten. Two of the three week olds have urine burns on thier legs and on thier groin area. I try rinsing them off a few times a day wit cool water and I pat them dry. The vet said to put Corin one cream on them s few times a day. It seems to be less red once I put the cream on but then the kitten pees on its self and it's sore again.

They are eating well gaining playing and acting normal othwrwise but I know it hurts him because he will scream when I pat him dry or go near it. Anything else I could try or use?

At 3 weeks of age, the kittens don't have full control of their bladder function. I would still be stimulating them to use the bathroom. In doing so, you can also clean them up well and the urine won't be left on their legs.

I'm still stimulating them to go but in between they are still peeing on themselves.

When I potty kittens I do it under running water in the faucet.

Just stick their butts under warm water and tap with your finger, they go like mad.

This will also help keep them cleaner/rinsed off.

Apply a thin film of Desitin baby rash ointment.

I started doing that rather than wetting a washcloth and stimulating. Makes them poop faster too where it took forever to get them to go when using the washcloth. Will the desitin hurt them if they lick it. They were 4 weeks yesterday. I'm just starting to ween them and two of them have already ate some wet royal canin baby cat food mixed with formula off a plate.

At that age they aren't into self grooming just yet, but if they did it won't be a danger. You are only going to be putting a thin film on the area anyway, not thick like on babies :)
