Very sad news I'm afraid.  

I am sorry to hear about your baby

He probably wanted to pass away alone, to save you the grief of witnessing it. He was a beautiful cat.

Sorry for your loss. I have had them leave and go away, held them while they had a needle and thanked them for their friendship, and always, always, they know that I loved them, that they are precious gifts to me, serving with love, and light. If there is a heaven, they will be at the rainbow bridge waiting for us. I have always said, if I die and am conscious, and have no horses, cats, dogs or pet chickens there to greet me, I will know that I did not serve the light and have been sent somewhere as a flunked out, never mind what hell it will be, but it will not be heaven, and thus I would suffer forever in that state and loneliness of the spirit.

So sorry for your loss, May you meet again one day.

I'm so sorry for your loss my cat that I had from a baby/toddler till I was in 8th grade past without anybody around and cats usually do prefer to pass alone but I just like many of the others on here know how it feels to lose a beloved kitty and we are all here to support you threw it

Please accept my sincere condolences on losing your beautiful cat, the pain can be crushing at times. Please take comfort in knowing he died at home, not in an office where most cats are so scared and bewildered. Most times we don't have the choice.  I believe he definitely did not die alone but was wrapped in your thoughts and love and was thanking you for loving him so much in the time he cherished having with you. Please celebrate the love you shared and try not to dwell on the parting, he would never want you to be so sad. Thank you everyone. I still keep expecting him to appear round the corner, or find him stretched out on the floor asking for his belly to be rubbed (at which point, if you did it, he'd promptly get up and walk off in a huff!).
