Ive posted about my cat before Campino. After 2 yrs of constant pain we decided to get a second opinion from another vet.

He has an extremely rare disease thats passed from parent cats. Basically two years ago he got his claws stuck in the door hinge and never healed.
Declawing his one paw never helped nor did the pills.

The second opinion wasnt any better, basically looking at amputation.

Heres my dilema, There is a chance it wont heal with his disease. Weve been in and out of the vet so many times its finally taking its tull on our family. Im sad with making either desicion. I cant afford to keep giving him treatments that have no success. Hes lost quite a bit of weight and has become aggressive and pees everywhere.

But at the same time, I just dont know what to do anymore.

Theres has literally only been 2 cases of this disease in my area. Nothing is known about it.

What is the name of the disease?

Some declawed cats change from pain-I get it was medically done but did you ever do xray to see if claws are regrowing where you can not see it but he is feeling pain?  Have you tried softer litters?

I cant remember but it starts with a c. Basically if he gets hurt it cripples his immune system.

We have tried everything. Including 2 vets. Basically his skin is dieing around the paw now.

Lol its ok, ive tried looking it up to no avail. Theres is basically nothing known about it. The pathologist suggested the meds tgat didnt work or amputation.

The first vet didnt know what to do.

The second vet basically said amputation.

And theres bo gaurantee it will heal.
