I have 4 cats. One of them is a feral that I brought in before the Winter of 2013. She has adapted well and is now cohabiting in the household with the other 3, always have been house cats.

My cats do not go outside except for a 6' x 6' cage accessed by a animal door to the outside cage via my indoor sunroom. I have had this cage for 20 years mounted on a cement base/patio. I have never had a problem with with fleas but this year ,I have feas!

I have treated all the kitties except Glenda, the feral. I have never been able to touch her. She gets closer and closer as time goes by but I can not get close enough to her to put the flea medication on her.

Please send me advise. I must get her medicated so that she can stop scratching and come out of the basement and join the household again.

Thanks in advance.

My outdoor feral does not allow me to touch him, either, and I've been caring for him for 3 years. When I need to apply Frontline, I sit close beside him and feed him his favorite food--chicken breast. Then I dribbled it between his shoulder blades while he's eating. He's normally so engrossed in his food that he tolerates it. Sometimes he'll hiss and be annoyed, but not so much that he'll leave his food bowl. If your feral doesn't allow you to get close enough to apply the Frontline, then I'm not sure what you can do--perhaps someone else has experience with this.
