I came home from work today and noticed that my cats mouth was red and slightly swollen. I immediately got nervous cause 2 weeks ago I brought home a kitten that had ringworm that I was unaware of. I only kept the kitten for one day and returned him because I didn't want me or my cat to catch it. Im not sure if I should be concerned with this or not. My boyfriend mentioned that she got into the trash as well so I'm thinking she could have just ate something or bit something that irritated her. Any thoughts?

Feline acne, perhaps?  Every cat I've owned had different degrees of feline acne and when it would flare up, it looked a bit like this.

Is it possible for a cat to get it at 14 years old? I've never noticed anything like this on her before

My cats have had it at every age.  Little Girl, who is 7, gets it every so often.  Try cleaning her chin with warm soapy water for a few days and see if that helps.  If it doesn't clear up, a trip to the vet might be in order.

I ended up taking her to the vet and they just told me it looked like a little skin irritation from something and they gave me a container of MiconaHex + Triz wipes for her face a few times a day. I hope it helps! shes NEVER sick! :(
