Raspberry was put to sleep Saturday evening. She was an eight to ten year old feral cat rescued from an absolutely filthy hoarding situation. She was the last cat out. Bacteria was attacking her red blood cells and her body was killing the cells along with the bacteria. She had given everything she had to her final litter of kittens, who will thankfully never know the kind of misery their mother endured. Raspberry leaves behind Winnifred, Margot, Kazuri, Rupert, and Noah, who are remarkably healthy. She was a fragile brown tabby cat who loved sunbeams and hot water bottles. She was laid to rest with Aimee, Snippet, Not Tiger, and Petunia in a quiet spot where she will be visited by many other cats. She is sorely missed by all of us.
