Does anyone have pet insurance? I was thinking of getting some on Katniss in case of accidents and emergencies. What do you suggest? I'm thinking either healthy paws, pet plan, or VPI.

I definitely recommend getting insurance for your kitty! It has helped us out a lot. When one of our cats got sick we actually ended up with more money. (not a lot, but still) And where I live, having the cat stay overnight at the vets, costs about 1500 dollars/day! That's insane!

I can't help you with which to use though, since I don't live in usa.

I have Embrace pet insurance for my older cat Malibu. He is 8 and I just signed him up this year so we haven't had to use it yet. I got lucky in the fact that he doesn't have any preexisting conditions since no insurance company will cover those. That's why it is always better to get insurance before your cat gets sick. And since no one knows WHEN their cat will get sick, the sooner the better!

I did a lot of research before choosing Embrace but Pet Plan was my #2 choice and Healthy Paws was my #3. I wouldn't go with VPI because I have read so many negative reviews for them but that's my personal opinion. The one thing you should definitely do is pick 2 or 3 insurance companies (which it looks like you have) and READ THEIR POLICIES. This way, you know what is covered under each plan and there are no surprises when you go to file a claim.
