Hi there.

My cat had the flu and after many tests, it was determined that it is viral and that she'll probably have it off and on for the rest of life (poor thing). She's taking a 3 day dose of antibiotics to treat an ulcer in her mouth and now seems to be getting a runny nose again. With her runny nose, she is also licking it raw. The poor thing has licked it to the point that it's bright red and probably will start bleeding.

So, what can I use to help her heal and make her nose more comfortable. Is there anything or should I just let it heal on its own.

Thank you.

I have no experience with this, but I would try both colloidal silver and coconut oil to cure the inflammation on the nose. It has to be pretty sore and tender.

I've given colloidal silver internally (1 teaspoon 3 X day) for suspected cold/infection....and I've dabbed some on bug bites. Worked great.

I've used coconut oil internally and externally on my girl to heal surgery stitches and to keep her regular.

Do a google search on these two options and decide for yourself. Discuss it with your vet.

Thank you for both suggestions. I will definitely have to try these after talking to the vet. The coconut oil will definitely make her happy as she likes the taste. Haha.
