Hello...14 year old male was very groggy after we picked him up from the vet at 6pm last night...ok that was a little unusual but ok..it was done late in the day etc.. first thing this morning he bolts from the garage like normal...but then shakes his head and boom falls over on his side. He ate a little then came in the house...he's been in his bed ever since. Still shakes his head and still unstable. It's been over

24 hours now. Can this be the anesthesia? He was fine, active and healthy, other than the abscess, until this. thanks

I would call the vet and ask about it, just to be sure. My cats usually shake off the anesthesia within a few hours.

Hope everything is okay! :vibes:

He's still unstable and fell over again this morning...he is eating and acting normal otherwise it wanting to someone to pet him ect.. but I'm not sure why he's experiencing this vertigos....as I said he was fine BEFORE I took him to the vet. When he shakes his head he falls. He's going in Monday morning.

I'd have hard time waiting until then! Poor guy. Perhaps he had an allergic reaction to the anesthesia.

I hope he feels better! :vibes::vibes::vibes:
