How cute!

Likely going to become flamepoints. That is the peach face, ears, tail.

It takes time for this to come out, and yes, it sure does appear as dirty, but not.

I've had many of these kittens and it still is always like I need to wash their faces, because in the beginning before they were eating, they were snow white.

I agree with Catwoman.  The most probable genetics is one parent is a carrier, the other parent is a point (having a masque on face, darker ears, tail and paws, and blue eyes, like a siamese).   This combination gives half the kittens become points too, and half have another color  - possibly from the non pointed parent.  These non points kittens are themselves carriers.

The point are born as white, the point coloring often begin to become visible at 7-10 days, but with cream and flame its less visible - and thus, may appear later.

The question is, if MOM is after all the point, not just white.   If she is a cream point, the masque is often just barely visible, easy to miss it if you dont know where to look.  I do myself miss it sometimes on pics.  Does she has blue eyes and is fully hearing??

ps.   The white cat in your signature, is it the mom?   She doesnt seem to be blue eyed, nor be pointed.   But you being near, can perhaps look more closely in IRL and  good light.

Thank you.
Yes she is the mother. She has brownish green eyes and no color anywhere.

Somewhere along hers or the father's line must have some siamese markings.

It can be as distant as say the father of the kittens had a simaese parent for instance.

Did you know that all siamese are born pure white?

Only once the temperature drops below 98 degrees will the colors come about, due to an enzyme in their genes. The enzyme is retarded and will remain inactive until the lower temp occurs.

When in the womb the temp is above 98 so they will remain and be born white and begin to change color after birth.

Despite mom being all white, she is not siamese because her eyes are non blue.

It takes siamese genes to produce flamepoint or other color pointed kids :) They do not need a full siamese parent though.

Just a bit of trivia :) Interesting huh?

Mom is a beauty btw.

I remember years ago when I had my first flamepoints. They were of course born white, so I also thought I needed to give them a good face scrubbing, little did I know!

As the mom isnt not point,  I tmust add there is another plausible  genetical possibility:   both parents are carriers, but none of them is pointed.   Such a combination will statistically give 1 pointed kitten, two non pointed carriers, and 1 non pointed non carrier.   But the statistics arent ironclad, and the result may vary somewhat.  Thus, its entirely possible 2 of the 4 kittens are pointed, while 2 arent.

My guess the father was a ginger tabby.

The siamese part may be recent, but may also be 30 generations back, the point gene floating in the population. Its recessive and weak if alone. But doubled up from both parents, it becomes strong, giving the kitten its outer appeareance.

And now and then there are born pointed kittens in a litter of non point siblings.  The kittens not seldom look alikes of siamese old type.

Such may for example happen among the russian blues, where they used some blue pointed siameses way back around  1950...    And they pop ut even today, 60 years after, about 30-40 generations after....

@StefanZ  exactly!

Genetics are quite complicated, but in the end, yes, that is not dirt :)

You will have lovely kittens, adorable cuties :)

Just for fun, here is a kitten I had who had 2 siblings that were pointed. Her eyes are 2 colors. Gorgeous!

Take care.

oh your cat look likes my adopted kitten. he is also white with green and blue eyes. we got her from the street .
I'm just curious if your cat is hearing impaired? Mine is. I read somewhere that cat with odd eyes are hearing impaired especially in the side of their blue eyes.
and also may I ask what breed is it?  thank you.
