I need to give my cat fluids at home for the second time, and I can't get the darn needle off so I can put a new one on. Has anyone had this problem? Any tips? None of the stuff I've read to learn how to do this mentions having trouble changing the needle!

I've been giving my cat fluids for almost a year. Every once in a while I have trouble with a needle, either getting stuck on the line or can't get the needle cover twisted open. Pliers work. Just don't squeeze too hard.

Yes, gently using pliers will work.  Very occasionally, I'll get one that gets stuck, too.
