Hi! This is my sweetie. Her name is Ronja (named by Ronja rövardotter written by Astrid Lindgren), one year old, and I start to think that her name fits her very well. She is very curios, I always have a paw and nose in everything I do. She is very playful, and she likes to be close to me, but not in my lap ( but always has a paw touching me when sleeping close to me). She seems to think that the world is a very exiting place with endless possibilities to catch butterflies and flies! She makes me laugh several times a day, and sometimes annoyed (by some reason she loves the lids to tupperware, she has "played" with three of them resulting that they are no longer air-tight......  and the wooden spoons..... I can´t leave those on the kitchen counter anymore...)

She is part siamese, and I think that the only thing she got from her dad is the colour of her fur, black, and her eyecolour. Sometimes I think I got a dog instead of a cat.... she plays fetch with her favorite toys, she eats her toys (including plastic mice...... so I´ve removed all toys that are "eatable"), she walks in a leash, she comes to me when I call her name and she "kisses" more than she cuddles. She is way to smart for me, so I have to keep her active (body and mind). She is a challenge, and my pride and joy at the same time.

three months old, and that´s when I started to wonder if she would ever grow into her ears.....

Hello :) I'm from the Netherlands! It's nice to meet you and Ronja! She is absolutely adorable and she sounds like such a fun cat :) My cat is part siamese too! They love getting into trouble and causing problems. They can be quiet a handful at time, especially with the non-stop meowing ha ha :) But they really are amazing cats. It's so cute that she loves fetching and being with you. I really love the last picture of Ronja, begging for more food. :D

well, siamese are troublemakers..... The fun part is that I am a very calm person, and the one kitten that adopted me when visiting the breeder was one that is truly a high-energy-cat. I didn´t want a kitten at that time (Way to demanding.....and not my style at all....I went there to find a one-year old cat, which she had- but that one did not adapt to my home, so she had to go back), but Ronja started to purr the moment I picked her up, I was hooked and in love, so when I got home a had a black kitten with me...... (well two kittens.... Ronja and the other one who had to return). She chose me!

She also loves to brush her teeth! She chews the toothbrush afterwards to get all the toothpaste out!

GOrgeous!!  SHe sounds like a gem.  Of course, I'm a bit biased...my cats have similar personalities and do many of those things too.  Not surprising seeing they have genetics from Siam! (My two are Korats - Thai cats).  With these cats though, as you've discovered, you need to be a wise and clever cat parent.  I got lots of help from http://www.wayofcats.com/blog/, and then thought I'd share my learnings - particularly the toys and games we keep needing to come up with to keep them entertained, on my own blog (link in my signature if you are interested).

Enjoy her!  And I love her blackness!!

she indeed is gorgeous! (not biased at all..... ;)  ). I´ll look at your blog, I always need tips how to keep her entertained (except when a fly enters the room..... that makes her forget everything else- and brings out the athlete in her).

A treatpuzzle I use for her is Nina ottosons mix-max puzzle. She has started to figure out how to get the treat that is seen, tasted but not within reach..... they are made for dogs, but works well for cats as well. There are 3 levels, and she is at level 1. Good to know that it will last a while. The treat used must be a favorite one- she gets bored otherwise.

and... dental health is important! ( the toy is a dental floss holder.....)

oh Canada~
Welcome! Ronja is beautiful! I have a soft spot for both Siamese cats (and their mixes) and dog-like cats - it's like everything I would ask for, even the general trouble-making, haha!

it is a bit complex, but she is starting to realize that she can both lick and use her paws to get the treat. And she is very frantic trying to solve it. uses a lot of her energy

Thanks! She is a very adorable "tornado-kitty"..... but now she is teenager.... a grumpy one. It feels good to know that it is a phase she has to go through. So I give a lot f cat-kisses and pet her when she is in that mood.
