So I got a coupon from Wellness for $5.00 off any bag of dry, with Momo's bag of food (Halo brand) from the shelter running out soon, I decided to give it a try. I went with Wellness Core, once I got home I decided to read the back of the packaging, all seemed good except when I noticed the "Best By" date, it was stamped 14 May 2014. That's almost 3 months away.....So question is, has anyone else encountered this same issue?  I tried calling their number on the back but their offices were closed by the time I got home. I know if it came to food I ate I wouldn't eat it past the date and I surely would want to follow the same with Momo's food.

Yeah that's what I'm going to do tomorrow, I just called them to let them know that this store had sold me an expired batch. Will definitely try Wellness but not at this store.

Its probably nothing to do with Wellness but with the staff of the store either not rotating the food properly when it is delivered or not checking best by dates. If you buy from that shop again, I'd definitely check the date before purchasing.

For sure it wasn't Wellness' fault ,it's the store's responsibility as a seller to do a full inventory of all their products. Just wanted to let them know that this store wasn't keeping watch of their products and in turn creating negative feedback for both the store and company. It turned even worse when I went to return today, they offered to exchange the product, I was hesitant at first but I really wanted Momo to try Wellness. I went to the same aisle and picked up a bag, of course the first thing I did was check the date.....and  to great surprise May 2014. I saw another bag and picked it up.....AGAIN May 2014, now at this moment I was more flabbergasted than upset. I was greatful that I saw the date before I opening the bag and serve it to Momo, but I thought of other potential owners that wouldn't have noticed and fed their loved ones expired food. I brought it to their attention and of course they were just as surprised and gave a rather pitiful excuse. They gave me a full refund plus store credit, definitely not buying from there again so with the credit I bought Momo some cat toys and bid them farewell. Lesson learned anything that's consumed check, check and double check.
