The food I was looking at was called Felin Caviar and the 'flavor' or 'version' of the product was Chicken with Carrot & Peas.

Their GMO, Grain-free, wet foods for all-stages. I was browsing chewy's website and I dont mind ordering onlineif I have to for my pet's stuff. I also feed Halo's Spot's Stew Healthy Weight Grain Free Whitefish to my dogs and I plan on transitioning them over to that from kibbles & bits pretty soon 100% as my vet said K&B is 'fast food for dogs'.

So I also saw a canned food of Halo Cat food called Spot's Stew Wholesome Chicken, Crab, and Shrimp - (doesnt that sound good?) I dont think their GMO-free but they are grain-gree *HALO*. I just wanted your opinions on these two foods - or maybe I should transition between/rotate/ between Halo & Caviar?

One more thing, how do I incooperate tidbits of raw bones to chew on, real fresh vegetables and fruits in his meals? I dont want to feed him 100% RAW - because I dont think I can afford it, but maybe when I'm older and out on my own, I'll feed him 100% RAW. Just not now. I want him to get it as a treat. Also, I want to get him some veggies and fruits into his diet. Do you think that's a good idea?

I can give you my opinion on your later question.
Cats don't need vegetables or fruits in their diet. They are carbohydrates, and cats can't really digest carbs very well.
You can certainly throw him a bone :lol3:, make sure it's small, like the smallest part of a chicken wing, once or twice a week to start. And under no circumstances should the bone be cooked.
There are some excellent articles/links in the Raw & Home Cooked forum you can/should read in the interim.

I can comment on the Halo because I feed my cat a variety from the Halo line of food (dry and wet). My cat definitely loves either the wet or dry from Halo, and I like the ingredients. However the dry foods can be on the higher side of carbs, so she only gets a small portion. I really like the wet as well, however there are whole pieces of beans, peas and carrots in them, which some people disagree with. For this reason, I rotate through 3-4 brands of wet food to switch things up, and not have to rely on 1 wet food brand.

You could easily rotate through the 2 brands you mentioned, if it works for your kitty as well of course. I'm not familiar with Caviar so I can't comment on that brand, but I would definitely try to use a rotation of wet foods!

As for the fruits and veggies, cats are known carnivores so I wouldn't recommend giving any as some cats can't digest them. However that being said, I do feed foods with veggies in the ingredient list, and my cat does great on them! But as far as going out of your way to give fruits and veggies as a separate thing, I don't think that's necessary. On a side note, some fruits can be harmful to cats and should be avoided, such as grapes.

Hope this helps :)

Mine never took to Halo.  Plus, they didn't really like all the vegetables in it- would spit them out or eat around them.  It was some stew flavor.  However, they'd sniff at it, take a bite or two and leave.  They like Natural Balance Ultra and Natures Instinct.  They also like Wellness.

Some fruits like papaya are OK for a treat and actually good for them.  And many are in there to help put in some nutrients lost in processing.  The vegetables are the same I suppose and a lot of them are just put for binding (in dry).

My kitty would eat Halo, both the stew and pate varieties, but with the stew some of the vegetables got left behind. Not sure if that was intentional or if she had a hard time handling it. She had loose front teeth.
