Hello all!
I just adopted 2 lovely cats from a local shelter and stumbled upon this wonderful site while trying to learn about taking care of them. So I thought I would say hello because I think I am going to spend a lot of time here!
This is Sinbad! He's an adorable 1 year 3 month old. He took to me almost immediately and I absolutely adore him. The first day he was home, I fell asleep on the couch while he was hiding under the coffee table, and when I woke up he had crawled into my lap, stretched out his full length, pushed his head under my chin, flopped belly up and squirmed beneath my arm so my hand was on his belly. I'm told that is one of the highest kitty compliments possible so I am super flattered!
He's a very noisy kitty, he always seems to be either talking, trilling or purring like a motorboat. He spends all his time in my lap or at my feet following me around the house to give his advice on anything I'm doing. He's a real sweetheart, although I have to be careful because he loves winding himself around my ankles while I walk!
This is Tempest! Sinbad is a momma's boy, but she is a daddy's girl. She's almost 4 years old and has been abandoned several times so is very reserved. Sinbad was able to have the run of the house immediately, but Tempest needs time to adjust so we've set up a cattery for her in a spare bedroom until she's comfortable. She still hides from me, but will come out to play with my hubby. So I don't know her very well yet, but I hope to soon!
