Hello all, I am new, I found this forum googling which is the best cat food.

Anyway I lost my Angel almost 2 months ago, he had cancer and there was nothing I could do, he was the love of my life and very first pet, he gave me 7 beautiful years of his life and for that I'm very thankful. I adopted him at PetSmart he was already 1 year old, he had an upper respiratory infection when I got him so took him to the vet and in 2 weeks he was healthy. After a month of having him I broke up with my ex bf. My baby boy helped me go through the pain, he was there for me loving me, supporting me. My boy was my everything, Now there is a big hole in my heart.

Welcome - I'm so sorry about Angel. These little cats leave such an imprint on our lives and can get us through so much. It sounds like he was well loved and had a great home with you.

7 years isn't old either, so that's so tragic that he had that horrible disease .........Have fun at the bridge Angel 

It's so hard to accept the loss to our soul, the pain can be unbearable at times. I'm so glad you are seeking comfort from others who know and can empathize with you. Your Angel was taken way too young, for reasons that  we may never understand, but remember that the love that cat showed you will live on forever in your heart. I'm very sorry for your loss of Angel. He and your love for each other will always be a part of your life, even though he's gone physically. RIP, Angel.

I can tell from your words how much of a blessing you were to each other.  I'm very sorry for your loss.

Yes they do, the first month was hell for me, I was sad, angry, depressed but mostly angry, one night I couldn't take it and I started to punch my kitchen counter to the point of breaking my hand, I didn't feel the pain because the pain I was feeling in my heart was greater than anything I ever experience. Now it's been 3 months and somehow I feel a little bit better, I still have my ups and downs but not as bad.

Sorry for your loss and suffering gaita. I understand the anger you went through as in punching your hand and breaking it I did a few things similar. I'm happy to hear you are doing better. It's a long journey.

I can promise you it will get easier, although I completely realize those words sound hollow to anyone who has just suffered a loss. Words don't help with your pain and they won't make you miss Angel less.

But eventually you will remember her and all het little quirks, with a smile in stead of tears. I promise.

It's almost gonna be 4 months and it still hurts so much. There is no day I don't think about him. He meant the world, I can't wait to see him again.

I understand gaita. I know you can't wait to see him. In the mean time, live the way he would want you too. Have fun, be happy, do the things you love and honour your boy and let his spirit live on as a result of such. Take the wonderful gift and memories your boy gave you. That's what I'm doing for my baby. Honouring him and doing the best I can. Spreading the love
